Perhaps the defining game for the revolutionary introduction into 3D gaming, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was a fundamental breakthrough for gaming. Exploring the vast expanse of Hyrule, gamers experienced the Zelda series for the first time from the eyes of Link. With various gameplay features and a well developed story, Ocarina of Time offered players an extensive world to enjoy and battle in. This titles was also one of the first to delve into a non-linear storyline that allowed players to partake in side adventures and exploration without a bottle-necked linear path to completion. Smooth combat mechanics and a well designed user interface further enhanced the natural flow of the game (which is hard to believe since these were the days of single analog sticks). Its success has resulted in a remake to allow a new generation to experience the joys of this gaming treasure.

For gamers who experienced this in its glory days, there is not a shred of doubt that Ocarina of Time was a defining moment for gaming.
