Perhaps the defining game for the revolutionary introduction into 3D gaming, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was a fundamental breakthrough for gaming. Exploring the vast expanse of Hyrule, gamers experienced the Zelda series for the first time from the eyes of Link. With various gameplay features and a well developed story, Ocarina of Time offered players an extensive world to enjoy and battle in. This titles was also one of the first to delve into a non-linear storyline that allowed players to partake in side adventures and exploration without a bottle-necked linear path to completion. Smooth combat mechanics and a well designed user interface further enhanced the natural flow of the game (which is hard to believe since these were the days of single analog sticks).
